Madhuram Restaurant is a new addition by Kanji Sweets. I visited this restaurant on November 26th (Bill attached) and ordered Idli Sambhar. Before placing order to Restaurant Manager, waiter served me normal water which was full of dusty particles. I informed this to Restaurant Manager and got an answer that normal water will be like this. So I was been forced to order packaged drinking water which was chargeable.

No issues ! I requested waiter to bring room temperature water bottle as I was suffering from cold. But it was not available with them. Finally he came up with a water bottle which was too hot, I believe he picked up the bottle from the water case which was lying somewhere in the direct sunlight.

Now my order Idli Sambhar was been served without coconut chutney. Upon asking for chutney, waiter replied if the customer asks then only we serve chutney, otherwise not. Okay; no problem. I asked for chutney and up to my surprise waiter came with chilled chutney bowl directly from the fridge and he agreed that they were not having warm chutney and it was kept in fridge. Apart from this they don’t serve tomato chutney with Idli Sambhar.

Sambhar bowl was full of oil which was floating on top. I asked for an empty bowl to waiting to take out the extra oil from Sambhar. Instead of Sambhar, it was looking like some Dhaba style Gatta Masala. When I tasted, trust me it was tasteless. There was no sourness in Sambhar and I believe to give colour to dish, they use edible colours.

Restaurant chefs don’t use rice flour for Idli’s; instead they use semolina which is awful. In one portion they serve 4 idli’s but after having just first 2 bites of semolina idli with chilled coconut chutney and oily sambhar. I decided to leave the place. I left 3.5 idli’s as it is in the plate.

I reported the entire incident to Restaurant Manager and Cashier on duty. But except sorry nothing came up. They charged the 100% amount from me for the worst idli sambhar portion ever tasted.

Honestly speaking; Kanji Sweets is good in Mirchi Bada making and I’ll suggest them to continue with that only. Restaurant business is not their cup of tea ????

Very poor services.... salad contain only onions & its price was 39, never recommend
