We spent 3 nights as tourists at this homestay in Jodhpur which is a house/ villa located in a residential area. The location is at a reasonable distance of 3-4 km from major tourist places such as Mehrangarh fort and Umaid Bhavan and about 6.6 km from the airport.

The hosts Madhu and Shivranjini are warm, friendly people who guided us about the places to visit over the two days that we went sightseeing. The itinerary made by them was perfect for us and included suggestions for places to dine and shop for local handloom etc. They even arranged autorickshaw taxis/jeep safari for us if requested. We enjoyed evening chats with the owner Madhu who is a great conversationalist and a knowledgeable, cultured person. Her daughter Shivranjini is very enthusiastic and eager to help and did her best to ensure that we got everything we wanted throughout the stay.

The deluxe rooms that we stayed in were spacious, clean and comfortable with air conditioning etc.

Meals are available at a restaurant that's adjacent to the house probably within the same compound and serves good lunches and dinner. The restaurant opens only after 9-10 am similar to other restaurants in the location so we had to struggle to get a decent breakfast on our first day before proceeding for our day tour of the fort. The hosts however provided us breakfast with tea/ coffee the next day on learning about this. However a permanent breakfast plus tea/coffee arrangement ( chargeable) would be suggested considering that nearby restaurants open only after 9-10 am.

If you are looking for an affordable homestay style of accommodation in a reasonable location in Jodhpur with a nice, friendly family as hosts, then this place is highly recommendable.
