Very nice, beautiful and serene place. Enjoyed boating and that was really a moment to cherish for specially in the evening.
Boating charges start with 300 for per couple for half an hour.
You have shops in the surroundings for shopping of art and crafts work, food. Parking is available and your hotel autos can also take you to this place.

Also called the Gadaria Lake, it is a man-made lake built by the founder of the Jaisalmer City, Rawal Jaisal and is about 900 years old.
Presently, the source of water for the lake is the Indira Canal near-by and the seasonal rain-water.
Best visited during the Sunset, the view is amazing. There is self-pedal boats and other types of boats for a boat-ride. During peak season, there could be a waiting of 30-45 minutes for the boat ride. But it is worth it.
Apart from the boat ride, there is a free Laser-show from 6:30 PM which is shown by projecting on a water wall created with the help of water-fountains. Very well narrated history of the Jaisalmer City.
The Lake is situated near the Golden Fort and there is a lot to shop for around it. Indian & Chinese snacks are readily available. There's also an opportunity to get the traditional Rajasthani-attire photo-shoot done, which is a great souvenir.
In the premises are also a couple of good restaurants and an ancient Mahadev Temple.
A good place to spend the evening, enjoy camel-rides, boat-rides and just sit calmly at the steps of the Lake, beside the Mahadev Temple.
Do visit the Cultural Museum run by Mr. Sharma outside the entrance for the Gadisar Lake, across the road.

This was the lake where we feeled like we are in northern part of India and can even feel very good and pretty well. We reached there at approx 4 to 5 pm and just passed time upto 7:00 pm and even didn't feeled bored for single second. If you ever visited jaisalmer you should at least go there and spent few hours there. You should visit there at evening beacuse at that time lighting are being started and even at this time photography is best
