One of the best old and rich science & engineering concepts I have ever visited. The items were manufactured with extreme precision. It clearly says the relationship between the position of sun and the time, really a beautiful place to visit with proper understanding. Do see some of the YouTube videos available on these concepts. You will also get a chance to see the video on the basic concepts from their office. A must visit place.

Beautiful design of sun dial / sun clock.
Combination of Art, math calculation and prediction of sun movement.
Nice, fun and full of knowledge. While sight seeing, we can see the historical ways to tells time with math and logic calculation.
Good place to bring your family and kids along as we can do both having holiday while learning about historical time.
Minus is that no public parking nearby, you have to find parking bit far from Jantar Mantar. Of more wisely to use tuktuk or taxi to come here.
If you visit at noon, consider to use your hat and sunglasses, as it is a bit hot.

This place is design at its best. Functional, aesthetic, simple, beautiful and literally timeless. These ancient instruments to calculate time, sun paths, moon phases including various Zodiacs (raashis)is quite a marvel. Do visit early to avoid crowds and the blaring heat (if visiting in summers). To understand this monument better, a guide is highly recommended. Not sure about their prices as i didn't hire one. Do not miss the small shrine at the east edge of the complex. It's quite a serene spot to relax.
