The park is very much well maintained. My kids (7yrs, 4 yrs and 2 .1/2yrs old) play there every day since last 8 months. But since two days back, they have started facing an issue of being chased away by an old man who waters the garden. They go to park with the caretaker and this man says they are playing in soil and making holes. I can understand it if they damage the badminton court or pluck any flowers from the park. But they are chased out of the park simply coz they are playing in the soil- does not make any sense and it is unethical. More over, I had a rough talk with the man and he called his wife and son to support him. His wife was funny coz at first she said that they are filling stones in pipes and the caretaker simply sits. I called her and made sure if that has happened and she plainly said nothing of that sort had taken place and the man is simply throwing them out because they play in soil. Then his wife said, " May be they are filling the stones." she has never seen such a thing nor did her husband mentioned about this issue. She was just cooking up a story to support her husband. Now the son said, they should not spoil the court. I agreed to it. But I argued with his mother and father for what they were claiming. Now the son had to support his dad and so he said "you should accept your children's mistake." Just coz people grow up doesn't make them mature. In fact, nobody is perfect. I would really accept kid's mistake, if they were on the wrong side. But not if anyone would come up with lies and baseless arguments. I don't understand this- due to corona the swings are closed and my kids go to the park at 10 am when there is nobody around to be safe. I can't tie them up for 24 hours at home. They will be depressed. They don't have schools and they can't be taken for outing due to the pandemic. What is wrong if they play in soil. Is it appropriate and ethical to accept the man's behavior??. I am very disappointed and disturbed. I wish if the authorities would look into the matter.
