if you want privacy and budget and the charm of staying in the middle of old city without being noticed, this place is for you. The family who owned this place is very cool. they let you do whatever you want. they are very friendly and welcoming. The price you pay to stay is very minimal barely 10 dollars a night and you get bare luxury. the room fundamentally made for stay and rest. enjoy Bikaner in budget friendly way.

Shanti is the name of this Guest House.

Gauri honestly help restore my faith in my trip in India through numerous thoughtful and kind acts. He is well connected, and I’m not sure who could better show off the town than him. He took me a the doctor for god sakes.

I would recommend this family guesthouse to any of my friends or family, they would all appreciate the character of the building, the art on the walls, the old city vibes, and the caring company of Gouri’s family. It’s really a great place to relax, enjoy, connect, and heal, if necessary.

Shanti guest house was a fantastic place to stay! The house is uniquely decorated with painted murals left by previous guests and old-timey/retro nik naks (Such as an antique embroidered vest and an old fashioned record player). All of this lends the place a very homey feel and makes staying here a pleasure, as you can't get bored with the decor! We received a pickup from the train station and then a wonderfully warm welcome from Gouri and his wife Tara (complete with delicious tea and a detailed description of all the things you can do in Bikaner). Gouri is a very knowledgable tour guide and can help you to organise your stay. He also does a fair amount of charity work when he is able and will offer to take you along as well if you like that sort of thing. The rooms were fairly basic but very, very clean and the rooftop terrace is small but cozy and private and a lovely place to chill out! For me personally the biggest point of charm was the very friendly pet rabbit (kuku) who would come visit us in our room every so often. He is very used to being touched and is unlikely to nip or bite! Overall I really enjoyed my stay here and I would strongly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a charming, budget accommodation!
