Very bad experience...they provide poor quality stuff. ..service is also not good...I would recommend..dont trust them ..better prefer decathlon.

Hi All,

I want to share my experience with Campy Dingle. My friends and I went to Srinagar on 11th August 2022 and we needed a tent for camping so we contacted Campy Dingle. It was the Rakhi festival that day so they closed their shop @2 pm but we told them that we will be getting late and we reached their shop around 7 pm. It was very nice that they had opened their shop for us. The person was very softly spoken (I forgot his name).

So we rented one tent which had the capacity of 3 people and one stove with its can. While they were providing the tent we asked them to show the condition of the tent but they told us that it is almost new and is in good condition so you don't have to worry about it (this was the mistake which we did). It costs us around Rs.1430 plus they took Rs. 1000 and an identity proof as a security.

While installing the tent for camping we found that the cover of the tent was torn already. We clicked the pictures and made a video where it is clearly visible. Also our sim card was not working because prepaid sims of other states don't work in Jammu and Kashmir. So we were not able to inform Campy Dingle guys about it at the same time.

Once we came back we gave all the stuff which we rented to the guy who was present at the shop and informed him that you gave us the defective piece. But he was not ready to accept that. He was saying continuously that we never provide damaged items to anyone. Then he called his boss Ankush/Arun (I don't remember the name). His boss was very rude. He doesn't know how to speak to his customers. He started arguing with us. He told us that you have to pay the whole amount for the tent but we told him that the tent was provided to us like that only. Even though we have shared the images and the video with him, he was still arguing that in his career he never provided defective items. He started saying that you destroyed our tent and now you are asking for the security and the identity proof, I am not going to give a single penny back. In my whole career we never gave any defective items.

We also argued about why you have not opened the tent when we asked. At that time you asked us to trust you and now you are not trusting your customers. We tried to explain to him that we are having the proof of it but still he was not ready to accept it. We asked him to keep our security and just give our identity proof as it was already 10 pm and we had to travel further to our home. For that also he was arguing that I am not going to provide it until you pay the amount for it. After an argument of around 30 mins they gave our identity card.

Guys, it is not about the money. It's all about trust, respect and services a dealer/shopkeeper provides to their customers. Earlier we were happy as we enjoyed our trip a lot but in the end Campy Dingle ruined our mood. They literally don't know how to speak to their customers. They believe that they can never make any mistakes in their business. Please beware of these types of fraud people who are just playing with their customers trust.

Instead of renting any camping items you can buy it online (it's very cheap there) or you can buy it from a wholesale shop (in Delhi you can find many wholesale shops) which will cost you very less.

When was the last time you really let your body down, took in unadulterated naps, and let yourself relax in trekking n camping? You could do like me soon in one of this great quality sleeping bags n trekking stuff that's too on rent n buy where you will get the most out of your investment for sure. Self experience.
