After the death diwan Todarmal bought this place who was one of the richest man of that era..with exchange of thousands of gold coins...

his Gurudwara is situated at a place where the mortal remains of Mata Gujri, the mother of Guru Gobind and his two younger sons, Fateh Singh and Zorawar Singh were cremated. It is believed that Wazir Khan, the then Faujdar of Sirhind refused to allow the cremation of the bodies unless the land for the cremation was purchased by laying gold coins on it. Seth Todar Mal who was an ardent devotee of Guru Gobind Singh, purchased this place of land by offering gold coins as demanded.

This Gurudwara Sahib is situated in Fatehgarh Sahib District. It is an extremely important Gurudwara Sahib for Sikhs because The Tenth Guru Of The Sikhs Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji's Mother Mata Gujri Ji and Two Younger Sahibzadas of Guru Sahib were cremated at the place where Gurudwara Sahib is situated. That place is where The Palki Sahib of Guru Granth Sahib Ji is Placed inside The Gurudwara Sahib. This Gurudwara Sahib has a sarovar and langar facility is available all time all year round.
