This is by far the worst hotel one could choose in Karaikal.
Trust me, don't go by the pics uploaded to various websites as they are old ones and this place is completely different now..

There is a bar attached to the inn and the noise from the bar penetrates the room walls.. Coming to the rooms, they are absolutely trash.. Rooms are not being maintained at all, were full of damp smell, also the bedsheets were stained.

My suggestion - if you are in Karaikal with your family and friends, this INN is not the place for you, plenty other good options available inside the town.

Nice place to visit
A hotel is an establishment that provides paid lodging on a short-term basis. Facilities provided may range from a modest-quality mattress in a small room to large suites with bigger, higher-quality beds, a dresser, a fridge and other kitchen facilities, upholstered chairs, a flatscreen television and en-suite bathrooms. Small, lower-priced hotels may offer only the most basic guest services and facilities. Larger, higher-priced hotels may provide additional guest facilities such as a swimming pool, business centre (with computers, printers and other office equipment), childcare, conference and event facilities, tennis or basketball courts, gymnasium, restaurants, day spa and social function services. Hotel rooms are usually numbered (or named in some smaller hotels and B&Bs) to allow guests to identify their room. Some boutique, high-end hotels have custom decorated rooms. Some hotels offer meals as part of a room and board arrangement. In the United Kingdom, a hotel is required by law to serve food and drinks to all guests within certain stated hours. In Japan, capsule hotels provide a tiny room suitable only for sleeping and shared bathroom facilities.

I recently happened to stay at this hotel - during the Ramzan weekend. The property as such is quite decent in terms of size / space - but is run by amateurs who have zero knowledge of hotel management. They share the same compound with their bar which is open to general public and is completely crowded in the evenings till late night with the bar mongers two wheelers which makes you very apprehensive especially if you are staying with your family. Room are very very average - i had booked 2 suite rooms - the condition is very substandard and i can imagine how the condition of regular rooms are going to be. They have very poor insulation which makes the AC useless in very hot conditions. They do not even provide you with a free water bottle at the time of check in. I stayed just one day and during this time the TV didnt work in both the suite rooms i had booked and they walked away citing technical issues. I had to call them to ask for towels to be placed in the washrooms. The stairs are completely dark with zero lighting, you can only use the lift, which adds to the eerie feeling. They serve tea to rooms in open cups - not in flasks - which makes it very cold by the time it reaches your room. There is no cloth holder in the washroom - you have no place to hang your towels to clothes. The most funniest part is the hand shower (commode) - it was on the left hand side and i need to do some circus to start using it. After complaining all this to the reception all they could do was smile and say we will look into it. The staff are courteous - no doubt about it - but unfortunately they have no clue whatsoever on how to run a hotel.
Bottom line - if you are planning a one night stay with friends (no ladies / family) then you will not have much to complain. A strict no no no for family / lady members.
