The place is more like a studio apartment in a building - not like a typical hotel. One room has 2 double beds, a sofa and a tiny balcony. The sea is slightly visible across several houses. This place is good for long stays, for standard family without having to pay more for extra bed. Very near to the beach, around 5min walk. The owner is very friendly and helpful, provides good suggestions regarding sightseeing. Home made food is tasty and and we requested them to be non spicy.

Room and location are good but at this price there are lots of option bcoz owner in not responsive. I booked a room 2 months earlier before arriving but he tried to give me a smaller room. After requesting once more during arrival he gave room with two beds as I asked but he was asking more money for that room. I stayed there for three nights during these days not even a single person came for housekeeping, I thought that there is no housekeeping, but when the time came to leave the room two housekeeping women came and asked for money. What type of disgusting service is this? Totally not satisfied with the owner and the staff to.. Not recommended.

This home stay is run by Mr. Satyanarayan Padhi and is situated in Laxmi Bilas apartment adjacent to Gaudiya Math near Sonar Gouranga mandir.
It is very near to the old Puri beach but inside a lane. One can get a good view of sea from the first and second floor room's balcony. The room rents are comparatively low. We paid ₹ 2200/- for a room for 3 persons and ₹ 1300/- for a double bed room. Both were AC rooms.
On the flip side, Rooms & toilets are not very clean. There in no lift but staircase is comfortable to climb. The stair railings are shaky. Tea, snacks and foods are usually not available. These have to be ordered well in advance. Quality is also not upto par. We brought tea, snacks and meals from outside. RO and induction heater are available in room. Room cleaning is not done as daily schedule but have to chase the person responsible for it.
