Place is good and well maintained. Only for scenic beauty. It is advised to go there during sunset or sunrise as it looks amazing during that time. There is some stalls for snacks on top and also washroom facilities.

Amazing place must visit once to both them the Gandhi minar and jawahar udhyan (park)
Follow guidelines for covid 19 for now .
While going to the minar part you have to pay 10 rupees for parking and 2 rupees per person for entry tickets .
After the threats on the dam , there is a tight security, that's why you can't click more photos and videos of the dam but the ugliest part is the shameless police-men guarding there , so arrogant and the parking in front of park costs 20 rupees .
Over all very good place to wander when going thorough Hirakud and you can also join the dyke road from dam to the sason side .

The Gandhi Minar itself hardly has any charm. However one gets a good view of the hirakud dam reservoir from multiple angles as it is located on a hill. Entry ticket was Rs 5 only ????. One can take a four wheeler to the top or can take the cable car. The garden at the top was colorful. It was not very crowded when we went.
