This is one of several temples within the Athagada Patna historic site, also known as the Athagarh site of Ganjam. It is a temple of the Vaishnava-Surya tradition, east of the larger and more elaborately carved Jagannatha temple.
The Mausi Maa temple features a pidha deul-style structure, one that is shows the influences of phamsana and latina architecture, somewhat in the varata temple form. It is also from 11th to 12th century. Inside its mandapa is a small Garuda pillar. This temple is notable for its pillar artwork. This temple is more in ruins, compared to the other Athagad temples.
The hilly scenery nearby is exquisite and peaceful here too.

Such a wonderful place destroyed by another mughal invader. It should be handed over to archeologists and start preserving it.
