This innovation centre is first of its kind in the country and that too at VSSUT, Odisha.The students and faculty members of Idea Innovation Cell (IIC)at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) at Burla in Sambalpur are a proud lot after the Centre approved the establishment of an incubation centre for space rocketry research at the university.ISRO approved the incubation centre after expressing satisfaction on the project to successfully build and test fire the VSSUT Satellite launch vehicle (VSLV) rocket. ISRO Chairman approved the establishment of a space research lab as part of an independent packageThe rocket building research was started by some students of the autonomous university around two years ago. They acquired most of their knowledge from the internet, however, they had their moments of successes and failures during the project.The ISRO’s incubation centre at the university is a great news for us as it will encourage a lot of students to generate ideas and execute them. This will take the nation forward.
