It is a beautiful and serene temple complex. It is more than a thousand years old with beautiful stone sculptures and you can call it as a Temple City. Puja and worshipping continues till date in this temple. Complex is vast with many large and small temples and you can sit anywhere in the complex and pray calmly. Whole temple complex can be seen and photographed from outside the complex from the tower specially built for it. However, Camera and mobile phone are not allowed in to the complex. The complex is well maintained.

Couldn’t have asked for more. From hustle and bustle of city to slightly peaceful atmosphere with Lingaraj temple. One of the oldest temple in the capital city of Odisha. Must visit place for worshippers. Unfortunately mobile phones and camera not allowed inside the temple. Had a lovely end to busy Saturday.

The best time to visit is in the off season. I came here in peak season, hence the was a big line of people to enter the temple. Inside the temple no cell phone is allowed. In outside the temple there is a pond and other structures. The beauty and the rest of the things you should experience by your own by visiting by your own.
