“Best place to have Odia Delicacy. Prices are on the higher end, though.”

Kanika is oartnof the Mayfair and has been recently renovated. Pradeep, the manager is quite friendly and accommodating.

The place has ample space for parking 2 and 4 wheeler. The sitting arrangements are great. And the staff is super polite.

Pakhala Thali is a must try! It comes with unlimited Pakhala!

In terms of cleanliness, nothing beats mayfair. The taste of food is very authentic.

Visited this iconic Odia cuisine resturant of Bhubhaneshwar during my motorcycle ride and had a fantastic time. The ambiance of the entire property is mesmerizing and the service of the staff was courteous. The Odia Thali I ordered was super delicious and I enjoyed everything that was part of the Thali. Would love to visit this place whenever I am back in BBSR. 100% recommended.

What we tried: We tried the Non vegetarian thali and the sea food thali. Non vegetarian thali had mutton and chicken dishes along with Odia 'khanti' dishes like badi chura, tamatar khata, various pithas. It's the perfect thali to experience various dishes at one go. I won't say that every single dish was perfect. It was okay-to-good at best. But everything came together beautifully.

Pros: 1) For the sea food thali, we got 2 prawn preparations, one sea food fish prep, and one fresh water fish besara. Full points on variety.
2) it's unlimited with a lot of options. The service takes time because it's absolutely freshly made. You get everything piping hot. Not reheated. So, you can't complain about the price.
3) it's on brass plates so full points on old world charm. Perfect representation of class with a bit of rustic thrown in. Ambience is good.

4) Sure shot option to try a lot of Odia cuisine at one go.

Cons:
1) The mutton pieces weren't the best. Few were mostly bones and one had leathery skin on. It was unlimited so we asked for more. But when you are at a 5 star, you kind of expect nothing but the best.

2) Before ordering the thali, we had clarified that the deserts platter will have chenna poda but that wasn't the case. Apparently that day they didn't have chenna poda.
