Located on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, deras dam is a popular place among both locals and tourists for its scenic beauty as it lies inside the Chandaka wildlife sanctuary.
It is peaceful and there is greenery all around. Overall, a perfect place for a weekend getaway or a picnic.

On 25 December Deras dam was too crowdy. Hence, it took a long time to find parking. Rs. 20 for parking a car.. Though it is controlled by Odisha Police and i found it well maintained but local people informed that during other seasons it is not so safe to visit without a group. Entry fee is Rs. 40 per head. Boating- 900 rs for 10 people i.e. something not pleasant i found. no package for individual persons. during evening it was so soothing. So, pack your snacks and enjoy the breeze of the lake wholeheartedly...

Average place in other seasons except rainy. You can ride hear boats and enjoy wild life. Safari is a additional system. Price is quite good , camera is allowed with a nominal charges. Parking place is also good. Staff is very helpful and decent. Good for picnic.nearby spots are also good.
