Took a Nagaland state transport bus from Dimapur to kohima. These buses don't follow any time schedule. For travelling from Dimapur to kohima in NST buses , tickets are issued at ticket counter only when buses are there at Dimapur bus stand. Ticket rates are cheap compared to share taxi rates but the buses are old and journey will not be that comfortable. Even NST bus stands need urgent upkeep. If one is not a budget traveller I will suggest to avoid travelling in NST buses which goes from one city/town to other city/town in Nagaland.

Got a chance to board a Nagaland State Transport bus from Imphal to Kohima, with prior advance booking from their departure point on Indo Myanmar Road, near Classic Hotel, Imphal.
Booking clerk was very cooperative, Bus staffs were also nicely behaving.
No standee is allowed to travel in their buses, that's nice.

Not happy with the service provided. Bus service to Dimapur is very scarcely available. Not enough for the daily requirements. As a result private taxis take full advantage of situation and loots the passengers by charging high rates of fare. Responsible authorities should look into this matter at the earliest.
