One of the oldest Badminton and Table Tennis facility in Kohima. People from all age groups comes here for playing.

Being the state capital you’d expect Kohima to have at least a decent badminton court but no. This place might just be the worst in the nation. 2 courts. 1 court flooring is taped with green tape and the floors are not even. If you don’t have good footwork then you’ll surely break your ankle. It’s not ankle breaking trick shots that will break your ankle but the uneven court floors that will destroy your ankle and might even end your badminton career. It’s high time to renovate this stadium. No wonder there are no good players coming from this state. Toilets are so dirty and stinky that it looks worst than a world war zone. Lightings are not bad. Rainwater leaks into the courts from the ceiling when it rains. Place is only open to club players and is not open 24x7 but is east to find.

This stadium is now renovated and looks clean. Still the same 2 courts but with new wooden courts and no carpet. Wood floor looks clean and sturdy but is not polished. Might cause some slip and slides if not cleaned everyday. Lighting looks neat and walls are all painted well. Ceiling work still needs to be done. Artificial grass on the sides for a luxurious feel. Hope the people who use the facility can keep it clean and maintain it properly.

This indoor Badminton Stadium Kohima Nagaland located at Officers Hill Colony is adding 24 hours life extention to members of six Badminton Club every day. In other words the said Stadium is adding 24 hours life extension to about 200 to 300 Badminton players making used of this Stadium every day.
