I was absolutely mesmerized by the natural beauty of the location. The Dawki River is a small but mighty river that flows through the heart of Meghalaya, and it is known for its crystal-clear waters and stunning natural surroundings.

The Dawki River is a popular spot for outdoor activities like rafting, kayaking, and camping, and I was fortunate enough to experience all three during my visit. The rafting was a thrilling experience, with the river providing just the right level of challenge for my skill level. The kayaking was also a lot of fun, and I enjoyed exploring the nooks and crannies of the river by boat. And the camping was a truly unique experience - I had the chance to sleep under the stars in a tent that was set up right on the riverbank, with the sound of the rushing water providing a soothing soundtrack to my dreams.

In addition to the outdoor activities, I also had the opportunity to explore some of the nearby villages and learn more about the culture of the region. The people of Meghalaya are known for their hospitality and kindness, and I was warmly welcomed wherever I went. I was especially impressed by the local handicrafts and hand-woven textiles, which were beautifully crafted and full of color.

Overall, my visit to the Dawki River in Meghalaya was a truly memorable and enriching experience.

This river is flowing from our country to Bangladesh. It is exactly on the border of Dhaka Bangladesh. Boating is allowed here. You have to pay RS.800/- per boat which allows only three people at the time. It takes 45 minutes for one round. Many tourists are enjoying boating. We can see more than 500 Bangladeshi on the border who take our photos. The border line is made by only stones and two BSF jawans are standing there. It is interesting to see this type of border.

The crystal clear waters of the Umngot River, the lush landscapes, the rustic lifestyles, and the riverine beaches are the main highlights of Dawki and Shnongpdeng. Adjacent locations at the foot of Meghalaya’s mighty southern ranges.
