Wonderful range trek experience of Ratangad- Harishchandragad, Trekking in clouds, surrounded by lovely wild flowers,awesome view of Sahayadri ranges, crossing the river with all passionate trekkers.....everyone should experience it atleast once!!!

Experience – Wow…what an awesome time I spent with TMI on this event. It could not have been better to bid adieu the year 2017 and make new friends for 2018. It was a wholesome experience in itself and I surely will do it again.

This was my first tent stay and I was so excited to get into it. However, the bonfire we had proved to be more appealing and hence even though everyone left, I was the only one who stayed near the bonfire till 4:30 in the morning. The Trek Leader and CoTrek Leader suggested gazing the stars near the bonfire and I ended up being with the stars throughout the night. They were in constant touch right from boarding the train itself (CST station) and maintained the contact till the time we departed at Dadar Station the very next day and every time in between. Rather, they suggested us places to hang out and dip ourselves in the lakeside water, which was really a blissful experience. We ended up sharing our life experiences along with our horror stories and a short poetry session too. I participated as an individual and left with at least making 5 friends. Well, the arrangement was also good – right from the jeeps to get to the camping area to the village style food. The live barbeque for roasting chicken was perfect enough for a Raakshas like me who relishes non-veg food all the time. The dinner served was totally village styled and expecting it to be like restaurant servings will demean it to the core. Having stayed in villages several times, I perfectly related myself to the dinner served. The games played were fun too. I laughed so much during the games and this was the point where in I gelled with people and made friends. Had more people participated for a longer time, we could have ended with playing the whole night. But, few participants were in there own comforts inside the tents that they missed on the whole fun element, despite inviting them for their participation.

The only area of improvement I could think of is – variety in evening and morning snacks. They were the same. Yet they were tasty and I ended up with two plates of them each time.

If you get such an experience at such a price, then I would say every penny spent was worth it. I will do it again. Thanks a lot Harshali and Pawan for being so cheerful and helful and for the wholesome experience. Will see you guys sometime again in my future treks with TMI.

I have always trekked with TMI and I highly recommend it for everyone! The leaders are professional and the best at their job, they will guide you at every step of the trek. I experienced first batch of sandhan valley last week and it was a beautiful, adventurous experience. All thanks to the TMI team for the arrangements, rappelling adventure and amazing leadership. I always feel like family with them and I can't wait to go onto my next trek!
