Few days ago, in December, @thehungerhormone put up a review on a place serving Authentic Oriental cuisine.

Here comes a review on the one that serves Indo-Chinese. ????????????????????

Today's Invite -
Authentic Spice
Location - Gala No.8, Railway Reservation centre below muncipal school, near Asawari towers, Vartak Nagar, Thane West

Started in Oct 2020 by an ambitious gentleman who had an experience working in Japan, China, and Malaysia. Taking cue from the culture there, he started this restaurant serving Chinese, but with the retention of Indian roots.

The ambience is themed to suit the cuisine.

Features of this place -
1. Pictures of bamboos, dragons, Buddha, and lightings.
2. Separate kitchen sections for Veg and Non-Vegetarian
3. In-house spices - Organic, natural colors (eg. They use Shepu for conferring green coloration to certain food options), in-house schezwan, sauces, masala etc.
4. Pet Friendly
5. Service is pretty quick. Good portions. Friendly atmosphere.
6. Very Very Pocket friendly.

What we had -

Burnt Garlic Soup - aroma of this lip smacking soup is irresistible. If you appreciate the aroma of garlic, this one's suitable for your taste buds.

Paneer Sesame - Sweet with a hint of spiciness. This has Paneer tossed with Sesame seeds and honey alongside other spices. It's new on their menu (the menu is being updated with a number of newer innovative inclusions, improved dessert options like Gulkand Kufli, Belgian Chocolate Kulfi, etc.)

Spiced Corn Paneer - After a Hot and Sweet affair, we chose this. It had a hot and spicy taste. And when we say spicy, we mean, it gives you a sensation of heat while you eat it. This Paneer and golden corn combo won our heart.
While, Anna suggests Paneer sesame, his friend who doesn't prefer sweetness, suggests spiced corn paneer.

Well, Anna went with his friend who is fond of chicken. So we tried this one as well - Black Pepper Chicken Dry which had a peppery touch. Pepper always goes well with chicken. So, this is a great Follow up to the previous ones which we tried.

Sherpa rice - Sherpa rice got its origin from the Tibetan/ Himalayan Sherpa community. The arrangement of the rice takes the shape of the topi/cap/hat the people of this community wear. It is a combo of rice, fried Noodles, and Manchurian. What makes it distinct from Triple schezwan rice is that, sherpa rice has flavours of garlic chilli, schezwan, and black pepper.
Definitely a highlight!!!

We also wanted to add this -
The Restaurateur raved about Murg musallam, a mughlai dish that contains 1 kg full Tandoori Chicken, upto 600 gms of chicken with thick gravy set on a bed of rice.
You need to be in a group of 5-6 or more to finish it.
Takes 6 hrs to make. You can preorder now. Costs you 1400/-

Again a new place in Thane to pamper your tastebuds. If you are looking for some new authentic Taste of Chinese as well as Indian food, then this is a perfect place for you. This place is hygienic, ambience is cozy, food is well cooked, owner is friendly, service is quick & good, washroom is available & clean.
The food we had -
• Burnt Garlic Soup - Taking consideration the covid situation, it's necessary to increase our immunity. For this, having healthy food is important. This soup is super healthy. It has hot garlic flavour, well balanced taste, and veggies too. We loved it.
• Teriyaki Chicken Dry - A dry Chinese starter which has a little sweet taste. It has garlic, veggies & sauces. This also tasted good.
• Chicken Kepsa Rice - A huge platter of rice with Tandoori Chicken and veggies. It also has gravy in the middle of the rice. The gravy was full of taste. Not too spicy, not too light. Well balanced taste of spices. This rice has a huge quantity, so 5-6 people can have it & enjoy it.
• Murg Mussallam Rice - Authentically Murg mussallam is served with rice. This item is also huge in quantity. It has lots of Seekh Kebab, tandoori chicken pieces in it. It dish is also sufficient for 5 - 6 people. We loved it

We enjoyed our time here. Proper hygiene was carried. Great new place .!!

This is an amazing indo chinese restaurant in thane. This place has an amazing ambiance with pictues of dragons and bamboos which gives a very nice chinese vibe. This place have their own unique recipes and they use natural ingredients for food colors as well which is very good. They also do not use chinese salt ( haginomoto) in their food.
We started off with the soups , then went for some starterand then finished our meal with some noodles.

1. Chicken lung fung soup - the chicken lung fung soup was amazing with chunks of egg floating on top of the soup which made it taste even better.

2. Butter garlic chicken - this was one of the best chinese starters we ever had. Chicken cooked in loads of butter and garlic. This was really tasty. This is must try dish here.

3. Singhai black pepper chicken crispy - singhai means finely cutted strands of chicken. This chicken was directly cooked without any addition of flour and it was filled with pepper. If you are a pepper person you will definitely like it. One of the best chicken crispy dishes you could have.

4. Chicken oyster noodles - the noodles were spicy with loads of chicken in it. It was a nice dish for a main course.

In all it was a nice meal with some tasty dishes. If you live in thane and love chinese food then you should definitely try out their food.
