I recently had an unfortunate experience with Dr. Shalaka Shimpi which left me feeling deceived and financially drained. I visited her clinic seeking a diagnosis for a common fatty liver, but what followed was a series of unnecessary tests and an alarming misdiagnosis that left me shocked and appalled.

Upon my initial consultation, Dr Shimpi seemed professional and knowledgeable. However, her intentions quickly became questionable as she insisted I undergo seven to eight tests for a condition that typically requires minimal investigation. Despite my skepticism, I trusted her expertise and agreed to the tests, which cost me a staggering sum of 7000 rupees.

To my disbelief, the test results revealed a completely unrelated diagnosis of kidney failure. Dr. Shimpi insisted that immediate hospital admission was necessary, creating a sense of urgency and panic. I was taken aback, as I had no prior symptoms or indications of any kidney-related issues. I decided to seek a second opinion from another reputable physician, and the subsequent consultation confirmed my doubts: my kidneys were indeed functioning normally.

It became evident that Dr.Shimpi had exploited my vulnerability and fear by misleading me with false information. Her manipulation not only led to unnecessary tests but also attempted to force me into an unnecessary hospital stay, which would have cost me further financially and emotionally.

It is deeply disheartening to think that a medical professional, who should prioritize patient well-being, would engage in such deceitful practices. I implore others to exercise caution when seeking medical care from Dr. Shimpi or any practitioner with similar tendencies. As patients, we deserve transparency, honesty, and ethical treatment.

In conclusion, my encounter with Dr. Shimpi left me feeling cheated and violated. Her excessive and unnecessary tests, coupled with a misdiagnosis, have not only wasted my time and money but also caused undue stress and anxiety. I hope this review serves as a cautionary tale for others, urging them to be vigilant and question the motives of healthcare providers who prioritize financial gain over genuine patient care.

I went to Shalaka Ma'am first time in an emergency. She guided me swiftly and decisively. The surgery was so painless & skillful. I recovered so fast. She is the first Doc ever to really listen to me and acknowledge my PCOS history with a proper fertility plan.
