The food tastes amazing, the cleanliness can be improved a lot and the ambience can definitely be worked upon.
• The food taste is really very good, especially the Chicken Tandoor and Chicken Biryani.
• The Veg food is great too(taste wise). Like Veg biryani was really good.
• Chicken Biryani was by far the best I had till date. It had a rich aroma and taste to it. Each and every grain(literally) had that unique taste!
• The staff was very polite and friendly.
• The cleanliness can definitely be worked upon. The plated were very unclean. All of the plates were unclean.
• The ambience can be worked upon as it was looking very dull as compared to the great taste and the good reputation it has.
• The price is worth the variety and food that is provided.
• There was a fly in one of the desserts - 'Jalebi' which is very unhygienic and thus should be taken care of.
• Overall a very good experience considering the food and the price.
• Overall an Ok experience considering everything as above.

I visited Sigree last weekend after almost a decade. They have a Street Food festival going on till 31st August and it was such a sumptuous experience.

Sigree offers live grills on the table, vast buffet spread and during this street food festival there are a lot of street food specialities from across the country added to the menu.

We started with Live Chaat Counter which had Dahi Bhalla, Pani Puri, Sev Puri and Palak Papdi Chaat.

Healthy Palak Papdi chaat was easy to make – I tried my hands on making one and I can boast that it was simply delicious.

Pyaaz ki Kachori reminded me of Jaipur, well stuffed, tasty and crispy.

Stuffed Chillas from Rajasthan, Kanda Bhajjiya & Mumbaiyya Pav Bhaji are close to my heart.

Paneer Chilli rolls from Kolkata, Gobhi 65 and Channa Shammi were few other street food speciality starters to gorge on.

On the grills we had Green chutney wala paneer tikka which was just outstanding. Babri Aloo and Pineapple were other vegetarian grill varieties.

I was stuffed with so many street food varieties and was about to move to the desserts section but while walking through the buffet section, aroma of 7 to 8 veg curries enticed me and I wiped up a bowl of Dal Makhani – so rich and delicious.

A very good variety of desserts were on offer with Swiss rolls, ice creams, cakes and chitrakoot making their way to my belly and making me happy too.

Jalebi Rabdi from live counter was also fab!!

I could not try everything on the menu so have written mainly about dishes I tried!! This street food fest is till 31st August and is a must try!!!

Street food is a strict no no during the monsoons due to hygiene reasons
BUT
here you have hygienic street food varieties from across the country under one roof...and well this huge huge huge spread of buffet is priced at just 717 all inclusive!!

We celebrated at Sigree this week amongst the staff and a small crowd inside the restaurant. While there is ample space to get a party started Sigree has missed its mark on some major points.

We were waited on our table by great staff. The food offering is standard buffet@625₹ plus taxes.

Food:You get served at a very slow pace irrespective of how many people are being served in the dinning area. We were taken back by surprise for the waiting time was more than 25mins for some starters. While the waiters were very polite to our requests to get the food onto our plates, their ever smiling replies “Food is coming” was of no help!
When the starters did come, some of it was raw inside and burnt outside ex. chicken tandoori.
They realised the mistake and offered to change the plates but food should never be wasted nor cooked raw.
Besides the starters the main buffet was the tasting point to be. We happily munched down on the entire line with no pain.

They didnot have BIRA that day. Drinks were great in taste and stick to known options. Do not experiment here!!

If it is your birthday/anniversary you get a very tasty cake served free of charge. Our overall experience would have been lifted had the starters been like any expectations of a starter.

The Sigree staff are very hospitable and serve you well. I wish the food would also compliment them for making Sigree a great place to be for all the food lovers out there!!
