It's a Kerala customised family trip very nicely planned and arranged by Gurunath travels. Nice hotels, excellent transport arrangements (Kerala Driver able to speak Hindi :) ), well planned Day wise iterney. Polite and very supportive staff, calling during the trip to ensure everything is fine. Thanks to Gurunath travels.. Eager to plan next trip with you .. .

M/s. Gurunath Travels have tried to justify all their mistakes.

However, what is the justification for providing only one mineral water bottle in 24 hours?

What is the justification for not having a first aid kit with the tour manager? I fell down and had got bruise on my left knee. There was no ointment or liquid to be applied immediately. Finally, I had to get it bandaged at a hospital near Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose house at my cost.

The criticism should be taken as a point for improvements.

I went to Kolkata, Darjeeling, Gangtok, Chhangu lake tour from 23 March to 3 April, 2023.

First Positive Things:
1. The tour guide or operators Mr. Tukarm Boir and Mr. Swapnil Deshmukh both were very good, caring and sincere.
2. The concept of having your own cook is very good.
3. All the hotels were reasonably good.
4. The rates charged were reasonable by the company

Now negative points:
I had to leave by 3 am on 23 March and there was no communication or WhatsApp group formation till 22 March afternoon regarding tour operator and guide. Total lack of coordination. After shouting at them they created and added me to the group.

1. The local guide was hired only in Kolkata and not in Gangtok or Darjeeling.
2. The Bus in Kolkata local tour was very good but the driver was rude. Mr. Sen is a good guide in Kolkata. I fell down while the bus was in hurry to leave. The driver was fighting with the guide.
3. Evening time, not even a light snack was served while everybody was hungry. At least biscuits should have been served. Only tea was served and that too was of bad quality.
4. On reaching New Jalpaiguri station, we were halted for 4 hours in a very ordinary restaurant with no bathroom facility. We were asked to use the public toilet of the railway station.
5. Own cook was only till Kolkata and thereafter outside food from hotel was served which was horrible. Mr. Tukaram told that the head office had discontinued the own Chef service without any prior notice. All of us had bad stomachs.
6. The mini bus from Siliguri to Gangtok and Gangtok to Darjeeling was a non-luxury type in very bad condition. It was tough to travel on such a hilly terrain with rough road for 6 hours. Especially for all the senior citizens, it was a bad experience.
7. The return flight was from Bagdogra Airport, 3 hours journey from Darjeeling. I had booked the morning flight on my own. They had earlier never told me to buy afternoon ticket. Now they wanted me to leave early in the morning by taxi at my own expense to reach on time. I spent Rs. 2,800 extra. They came later by bus to catch afternoon flights for other tourists. This happened due to lack of communication from head office, especially Ms. Manini had not given clear instructions.
8. Company is trying to save money at the cost of comfort.

Overall, it seems that Gurunath Travels Pvt Ltd are not a professional one. They are B grade. My experience was not very good.

We had been to Tristhal yatra with your esteemed company. The total experience is Excellent. The food, living & traveling arrangements were at par, I think we selected a correct/ Wright travel company for the above said tour. Mr. Ashok Joshiji, our tour manager, is a person with vast experience in the field.He had a command over the language & information of each n every place where we visited. The shraddha vidhi done at Gaya was somewhat on the negative side as the middle man Mr.Khare was not arranged the rituals to our expectations. Really it's a Excellent, Satisfying tour Experience with Gurunath Travels. Our colleagues tourists also enjoyed.
