One of the oldest theatre in old city of Nashik. Situated at the heart of the marketplace. Need to walk some distance in order to get public transport. Most of the Infrastructure made of wood. Picture and sound quality is acceptable. Doors are made up of old wood so outer light and sound constantly comes in. Cheapest ticket price. They don't have much staff so can't complain about cleanliness. Parking is an issue for four wheelers.

It's My Favorite place because this Theatre is Historical Place.Anant Kanhere Killed Jackson Here for Political Reason.
Anant Laxman Kanhere was an Indian independence fighter. On 21 December 1909, he shot the Collector of Nashik in British India. The murder of Jackson was an importantevent in the history of Nashik and the Indian revolutionary movement.
On 21 December 1909, Jackson came to see the play named 'Sangeet Sharda'. Anant jumped in front of him and shot four bullets. Jackson was killed immediately. One of the Indian officers, Mr. Palshikar and formor DSP Mr. Marutrao Toradmal, attacked Anant with his baton. Other people around caught Anant and he was not able to shoot himself or get the poison.Anant Kanhere, then 18 years old, was prosecuted in Bombay court and hanged in the Thane prison on 19 April 1910, a mere four months after Jackson was killed.
