Shri Vyankatesh temple located on Dharaskar Road in Itwari, about 3kms from Nagpur city center is dedicated to Lord Vyankatesh (the manifestation of Lord Balaji or Lord Vishnu). The construction of the temple was started in 1963 and completed in 1968 under the guidance of Swamiji Shri Dharacharyaji. The temple houses a beautiful back stone idol of God Vyankatesh, adorned with gold ornaments and this idol had been brought from South India. Just below the main idol, there placed three festival statues of Lord Vyankatesh made out of gold by the skilled artist from Chennai.

The main entrance gate of Shri Vyankatesh temple is bedecked with beautiful carvings of numerous Hindu Gods and Goddesses. The annual temple festival is celebrated for 3 days in the month of February which involves the ceremony of God’s wedding, special Abhishekam, Kalash Pooja and ShobhaYatra. Besides this festival, Ramanuja Jayanti, Ram Navmi, Krishna Janmashtami, Waman Jayanti, Narsingh Jayanti, etc. are also celebrated at Vyankatesh temple with great prompt.
