The ICAR-Central Citrus Research Institute (also known as nimbu company by locals) is for research in citrus family. It is located at Nagpur (also known as orange city), Maharashtra. The city is famous for mandarin oranges. This institute work's in the field of citrus agriculture; it also offers consultancy towards the field. CCRI research institute under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) which is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Agriculture of Indian Government.
The ICAR-CCRI mostly working on development of new variety for good quality, increased productivity and production of Citrus. Another main goal of this institute is disease and pest management by controlling the most serious problems like Citrus greening, gummosis, pre mature fruit fall.

A very knowledgeable and gentle person I've met here was Dr. AK Srivastava sir, Principal Scientist (Soil Science). Had great knowledge about issues I was dealing problems with. Great Lab maintained.
