Have 2 stars because for over 20 years i have been their customer. I made extended US trips 10 times in this period. Good experience with their service till last year.
This year too i purchased travel guard Gold policy from them. Despite my repeated emails, and despite my submitting all documents, they still have not sent me the payment link for extension of my current policy.
Today is the last day to extend it, and if it didn't happen, i am unlikely to go for tataAig in future. I would rather go to am American company get prompt service tho i will pay more.
If replying to a customer, they take 48+ hours, that too for an urgent issue, there is something not quite right here.

Applied and paid online TATA AIG website for my car auto insurance renewal at 6 AM. Earlier policy was still in effect purchased from another insurer. Received payment receipt on email immediately. Did not receive policy copy - waited for 15 hours. Contacted customer service - they could not bring up the transaction details. Then they asked me to wait 2/3 days for policy issuance. Logged a ticket
Called again after 2 days. They asked me to call after 2 days as they were unable to locate the transaction.
Called again after 2 days. They said they were unable to issue the policy due to system error. Asked for refund and closed the horror show.
If you are fine with this kind of experience, please buy car insurance from TATA AIG.

Well am sharing my experience with Tata Aig customer care . I have renewed my car insurance policy through them many times and even taken travel policy at times . Their rates are usually lower and during the time of 1 or 2 claims wch able to recall , not Dave’s any issue . However recently I by mistake or some error of the agent made two payments for same policy on same car as dates mentioned were wrong in first policy . I have written mail to customer care and there is no response other than the acknowledgement of mail and when I called up the customer care they are no even aware about the issue and not even able to fetch the details about any of the single policy or service ticket no wch I got on the mail . Even they are asking for stupid questions like asking me to prove that I have paid twice . Imagine Tata Aig like big company does not even have the updated records in their system and their agents about being clueless on anything . What is surprising is no reply on mail or phone even in approx 72 hours .
