I am Vinayak Niman from Andheri. My mother Sunanda is now 50 years old. In 2015 my mother was admitted for fever. Testing by Doctors showed that both kidneys were permanently failed. So lifelong dialysis was started in 2015. This was a shock to my entire family. Then I brought my mother to Dr Sandip Bhurke. In last seven years mother has had three hemodialysis catheters, four AV Fistulas on both hands, and now finally permacatheter in right chest. This is called as multiple access failure by Dr Bhurke. My mother is able to do kitchen work at home. She is on 3 per week regular dialysis. Dr Bhurke helps us to get free rations from Shree Adinath Charitable Trust in Mumbai. Every month we get free grains, flour, edible oil, and sometimes clothes, blankets, umbrellas, from these Trustees. I am working as office boy with low pay. So this helps my family. I was not able to complete my college studies due to financial reasons.

My 80 year old father Vithoba Bane, was already Diabetic and Hypertensive and had weak Kidneys on both sides. His creatinine was high 1.7 in 2019. Last month, in July 2022, he fainted and had low sugar. Testing Sonography showed small kidneys and Creatinine risen to 4.0. Our neighbour referred us to Prabhakar Bhurke Clinic. Due to Blood issue of low platelets, Dr Sandip Bhurke did special test of M Band for blood cancer multiple myeloma. Unfortunately, it came positive. Dr Bhurke sent us to Blood Cancer Doctor Oncologist. Bone Marrow Biopsy test showed 3% plasma cells. PET-CT Test showed no bone lytic lesion. Hence low grade blood cancer of MGUS was diagnosed. MGUS was explained to us as Chemotherapy treatment not required and requiring careful frequent testing. Due to supportive medicines and nutritional supplements given by Dr Bhurke, my fathers creatinine is slowly reducing. Once a month Kidney testing has been advised to us, on his Yellow Paper.
