Good interior, Decent food but no lively Vibes, hygiene levels is below average, polite staff but the surroundings are dull, if they improve the surroundings then this place turns into a great place. The area is also not so good and no one expects this place will be here. We had Coconut popcorn paneer which was not so good and taste below average. We had crispy nachos chat with salsa sauce which was good but it had so much onions. On the beverages side we had ginger one which was decent and in main course we had mangolian pot rice which was so pathetic and not recommended to anyone, it was having a tandoori masala and vegetables were not so fresh. Overall this place is not recommended for veg lovers but for non veg can always give it a try

The restaurant is located near Western Express Highway (WEH) ????️ in Borivali East opposite lane of Sanjay Gandhi National Park ????️ (SGNP). There is no place for parking ????️ available here. One will have to find a place nearby for parking. Two wheelers can be Parked outside the restaurant at your own risk ⚠️ as the road outside the restaurant is narrow and a very busy road as huge buses pass on the road ????. Thus parking outside the restaurant is a risky task as any vehicle can easily hit your stationery vehicle ????️ ????.

The restaurant is small and with an average ambience. I felt like there was a lot of things that they need to work on. The place is not that expensive but also not that worthy. I will ask for more cleanliness and better management. There were a lot of dusky showpieces. There was a pungent smell of caught up moisture. The seating capacity is good but management was not. The AC ????️ was not working properly despite the entire restaurant being AC dining area. Because very difficult to meal at this restaurant in this summers. The handle of the main door came off when the staff was welcoming us in the restaurant. So few repair work here and there was highly needed. ????u200d???? There were lot of things in the menu which I felt like bluntly added to make the restaurant more appreciable and attractive. Eg. in malwani thali section they added fusion thali basically contains Chinese, Japanese and Mexican dishes.
The staff as all the waiters were focusing on one table at a time and the staff allocation was not done properly for the tables. however the staff who was handling our table was really great and helpful he was suggesting things from the menu.

Following were the things that we tried.

1. Mexican chicken cheese shots- They are similar to cheese balls but here the catch was that they were filled with chicken piece and for the Mexican flavour the shots contained rajma (beans) and other vegetables. ???? ???? the dish was served with tangy salsa dip. I was expecting it to have a bit more flavour and spicy ????️. if you want to order this ask them to make a bit spicy (if you love spicy).

2. Chicken dum matka kabab - tandoori chicken kabab served in dum Matka. The spices and the chicken pieces were blended very well. The chicken was really moist and juicy and topped with grated cheese all melted in dum. They served the dish with with green ???? mint chutney, onion ???? and lemon ????. It's one of their dish I'll recommend you to try.

3. Penne pink sauce pasta ???? : pasta cooked in creamy tomato sauce ????topped with parsley and other herbs????. I loved the taste. ???? nothing different but it was simply good.

4. Chicken ra ra masala: ???? This is fairly dry gravy boneless chunks of chicken all enveloped in rich thick sauce. I wanted to try something new and different as I was willing to explore the menu ????. But the taste was very much similar to the standard gravy that restaurants usually prepare to use in most of their dishes.

5. Masala Papad: just like a regular masala papad topped with chopped onion, tomatoes and sev infused with salt and chat masala. They served this with mint chutney which was really good. The only negative point was that they brought the masala papad after inordinate delay as the papad was all soften up and no crunch was left to it. It was more of like a masala roti instead of masala papad.

6. Nice and Naughty - For refreshments we had this mocktail which had lyche crush, lemon grass crush, house mix and soda. ????it was just like regular mock tail.

7. Guava Merry: It is guava juice infused with lemon juice and tabasco sauce. It’s tangy, savoury, spicy and refreshing taste.

Overall the experience was okayish, we tried the restaurant in the carnival offer (where we booked 50% off deal from Zomato so with the help of that we got 50% discount on the bill ????). I can definitely recommend a lot of things that can be changed or improved but the list can be long, if you want to try this restaurant definitely use carnival offer or else it is not that worth it.

Platess multicuisine resturant-
An upcoming insta worthy multicuisine resturant in Borivali east. One of its kind decor in two level resturant. Located next to shukarwadi bus stand.

Establishment is both family friendly and good for date nights or selfie buddies. Lower level is preferred for their asthetics and rustic walls. Upper section have inhouse DJ and bar area. Owners are really sweet and make you feel conformable. Staff is well mannered and service is quick. Chef makes every possible efforts to make the dish delicious and full of elements.

Analysis

Ginger twist-
Excellent mix of ginger juice, lychee and cranberry. Layered drink, strong and nice taste.

Platess special pizza cone-
Their specially starter of pizza stuffings served in the form of cone topped with lots of cheese. Presentation best.

Mexican Basket on fire-
Toasted bread base with toppings of salsa, beans and inhouse sauce. Wholesome treat for taste buds.

Paneer nachoz chaat with salsa-
Indo Mexican fusion dish of paneer chaat accompanied with nachos and salsa. Delicious and insta worthy dish.

Speghetti Aglio olio-
Another beautiful Italian main course of traditional speghetti with herbs, olives and paparika. Presented with thin flak sheets.

Overall Platess is definitely worth a visit place with elegant dishes and decor. Place for Petrons looking for good time.
