However, there is a Nehru Planetarium in Mumbai which is a prominent venue for scientific and astronomical education. It was inaugurated on March 3, 1977 by Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India1. The planetarium is located at Nehru Centre, Dr. Annie Besant Road, Worli, Lotus Colony, Worli, Mumbai, Maharashtra, 400018, India2. It is open throughout the year except for Mondays and a few festivals. The place opens at 11:00 AM and remains accessible until 5 PM. The show runs four times during the day. The first show starts at 12 noon and is narrated in Hindi. The second show in Marathi and the third one in English commence at 1:30 PM and 3 PM respectively

The ticket price for Nehru Planetarium Mumbai is Rs. 150/- (5 Years and above) as of June 1, 20221. I hope this helps.

This place is screaming for an upgrade, the electronics are obsolete, the dome projects at 480p and the data presented has not been updated in a decade. The staff do a good job maintaining it as is but their creativity is not being tapped. I wish this great feature of Mumbai can be better utilized.

Nehru Planetariums are the five planetariumsin India, named after India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. These are located in Mumbai, New Delhi, Pune and Bangalore, plus there is a Jawahar Planetarium in Allahabad.

This planetarium, like its namesake in Mumbai, was also inaugurated by Smt. Indira Gandhi on 6 February 1984.  One of the major attractions of this place is the Soyuz T-10which carried India's first cosmonaut Rakesh Sharma to space, along with his space suit and mission journal.
