Mangoes is a family run business.
Aunty was the whole and soul while her son is a footballer / sailor who decided to get his mom's food to the pallettes of people in and around Orlem, slowly and steadily becoming a household name across the city.
The place is almost 15 years old now and the taste of authentic Goan and Mangalorean cuisine is to cherish on a rooftop terrace perched in the middle of the changing landscape of Malad.
The setting is ambient with breeze from the neighborhood while the mist fans setoff the scorching heat of Bombay summers.
Cooled ourselves down with a fabulous Kokam water laced with Lime and mint along with some Beef chilly and the must try Pork Sausage Chilly fry.
PS : This isn't for the faint hearted.
Ask the chef to make it extra spicy if you have the appetite for it and they will have ur taste buds jump up in flames.

Food was tasty, staff was also nice, i loved the concept of rooftop, maybe due to monsoon they had covered the roof but it would have been nice to sit in open. Anyway though I loved the food personally, thought the service was bit late. As i was with family it was little awkward for me. But if you don't mind chatting while waiting then go for it. ????????

Goa in orlem vibe. The food (tried seafood) is delicious and easy on the pockets. Must visit to try more dishes.
