Had batata vada and undhiyu+thepla for Rs 270.

Batata vada was nice as was the chutney. Tasty. Crisp on the outside.

Undhiyu was tasty but too pungent, for me at least. Had all 8 veggies. Had to buy a 8-pack of thepla - wish they had 4-packs. Don't know why some reviewers say Undhiyu was sweet, it had banana which turned sweet on cooking, that's it. Some reviewers say the place is dirty - not true, it's as clean/dirty as any other similar restaurant. Will visit again to sample the other snacks. Pics attached. Recommended for Guju snack lovers.

PS - the owner is uuuhhhh stern ;-)

After knowing abt very famous Undhiyo near CP Tank, Today (20.12.2020) I went to buy Surti Undhiyo at Hiralal Kashidas Bhajiawala. Centrally localted in CP Tank area, walkable distance from Chira Bazar. Very polite n helpful owner, Very fresh Udhiyo available. Owner asked politely whether I need garlic in Surti Undhiyo or not. Remember they close at 3.00 on Sunday afternoon. Taste of Surti Undhiyo is superb, delicious. Do visit for Authentic Gujrati Nashta.

I went to this place with my friend , due to its reputation and specifically for undhiyu. But the food except the kachori was a complete disappointment.First , if they are serious , they should really give hygiene and cleanliness it's due importance. The shop was very dirty, and the infrastructure is literally crumbling. Yet we tried a lot of items , mainly the food was just overrated right from gujiya , bhajiya to undhiyu , nothing special and the jalebi was served very cold and had no taste or crunch.
We were charged 50 rs extra for not finishing the chutney that had flies over it and ofcourse no decent taste.
Beware of the name , it was sadly a huge disappointment , since this was the first food shop we visited travelling from very far on the new year day .
Yet the experience was pathetic.
