A nice department at IIT Bombay, full of instrumentation facilities. A decent number of industrial tie ups are there.

One of the best department in IIT Bombay, to do research, so many labs and profs doing research in different fields, so many things to do, so many options to do research.

One of the good department in India. Building are old and some renovations are going on. There are good research works are going. This department have the lots of material charecterisation facility like SEM, TEM, Dielectric measurements ( bulk, thin film) with low temperature conditions, SQIDS measurements, Nano Indentation, Solar cell charecterisation facilities (IV measurements) , Thermoelectric mesurements, mangetic material mesurements and characterisation, Thermoplastic measurements, Alloy system charecterisations etc. Some of the equipments are open to book for Public through institute. But some of them are under professor and lab that can't access by public easily. But one can contact Professors directly to do measurements and charecterisations.
