Bombay Brasserie is one of the hidden gems which one must visit at Worli. Can be easily located opposite Nehru Planetarium / Glocal Junction and next to the BMW car showroom. Just the loved the ambiance at the place, they have an outdoor and indoor section. Outdoor seating is quite appealing. The look and feel is that of a swing seat but it's actually grounded to provide stability.
During Summers, it is advisable to be seated inside though. Inside you are greeted to some beautiful looking walls. You shall find lot of cities on these walls along with the details of their signature dishes from the region. The restaurant dishes a lot of modern indian varities to try from. Talking about what all we tried here -
We started with Chowpatty Corn Chaat (4.5/5). This was a part of the menu which is available for evening snacks. Fortunately it was available so we ordered for dinner starters. A nice mix of fresh corn, crunchy peanuts, potatoes and chutneys. A good start. We were hoping for Bhaji Bites also, but unfortunately not available for dinner. Next we ordered the Chili Cheese Kulcha (5/5), super yum, super cheesy and Kulcha cooked and grilled to perfection. Served along with mint chutney!
We wanted to order couple of mocktails especially the Paan one, unfortunately it wasn't available. So we called for Virgin Pinacolada (4/5) and Shikanji (5/5). Shikanji here is a must try! Really refreshing, has that hint of pudina and Tulsi leaves. Next we called for the Agra Subs Seekh Kebab (5/5), it was again superb! Charcoal grilled veg kebab served separately along with Crispy Roomalis and imli pudina onions on the side. It's a DIY, but trust me completely worth it.
Moving to mains, we ordered the Chatka Chole Kulche (5/5) and Paneer Sirka Pyaaz (5/5). Both these dishes are must haves again here. Chole comes in a glass jar, can be shared by 3 people atleast. Comes with Aloo stuffed Kulcha. Paneer Sirka Pyaaz - outstanding dish comes with vinegar soaked pearl onions. Paneer was fresh and soft.
Finally for dessert, we ordered Amritsari Kulfa (4/5) and Bombay Icecream Sandwich (4/5). Loved the creativity shown for Bombay Icecream Sandwich, not just regular biscuit but Parle G, Bourbon and Jim Jam biscuits used as base. With the Kulfi also good job done, served in a bowl of liquid nitrogen - badaami phirni, falooda and Rose syrup.
All-in-all had a nice experience at Bombay Brasserie. Great food, awesome ambiance and lighting and good service! Had a good time, would recommend others to visit as well.
