The iconic place in whole Mumbai. It is situated on main road leading to Essel world and pagoda. The village comprises of several hemlock, such as Tarodi and Anand Nagar.
This is only place sitting in lush greenery and in the valley of two hills, also very very close to sea beach. Main population comprises of Catholics.
The people here are mostly highly educated, gentleman and try to keep clean the village. Houses are mostly of British era one can find so many wooden flooring houses still in village, however recently few have repaired then according to new architecture.
As of today there is no ATM and vehicle repairing mechanics in village proper but lot of eateries along the road. There is 24×7 electricity and water supply is never short of. Basic groceries and medical facilities available.
There is lot of scope for beautification but this settlement faces extreme apathy and negligence of all elected local leaders.
The visitors and tourists passing by road litter the garbage along the road which I personally regret.
