KRANTI CHOWK: was the place where Freedom Fighters were publically hanged during British Era.
This Independence War Memorial is termed as "Swatantra Sangram Smarak" in Marathi.
The Memorial hoist a 69 Meter (227 Ft.) tall Indian National Flag of dimensions 16.5M x 11M (54Ft. x 36Ft.) on a octagonal shape base, which has got Ashoka Pillars at all corners.
The Flag pole weighs almost 18 Tonnes and is designed to cater high wind velocities.
