The palace is in the premises of an educational institute. The place is in ruins but gives a fair idea about its history. There are a few photos of erstwhile Nizams and the seat of coronation.

It was a palace of malik ambar who has founded the NAHAR ( underground floing water channel ) in Aurangabad.
As it was divided in 9 parts KHand so was called Navkhanda palace but almost all the palace is ruined only his darbar hall is remaining.

Aurangzeb declared his empire deccan from here then 1st Nizam
Asif jah awwal declared his independent kingdom from here
A coronation hall is there called Gaddi Mubarak A showcase containing a mattress (gaddi) is in the centre of the hall
Other ruins are there
It comes under Nizam trust,Waqf board and Archeological survey of India .
