If you're not from the city, this isn't a place to visit. It's just a remnant from the past in between the road and shops that encircle it. Earlier you could go to and fro through the gate but it's been closed for pedestrians and traffic now. There are a few restaurants nearby but if you're looking for a good meal then this isn't the place you should be. The roads leading upto the place are pathetic to say the least. So, avoid it if you can.

The original name of Kitkat Gate is Islam Darwaza. It is one of the gates that were built along the wall at the border of the city.
