Shani Mandir is a famous Jagart shrine in Amravati
It is situated close to Ambadevi and near the wall of old Parkota
To approach this temple we have to pass through Itwari Bazaar
The street of the temple is very crowded because of Itwari market, so if we want to go here, we can go by two wheeler, car cannot go directly to the temple.
Or if you want to go to the temple, you have to park your car on the main road and You have to walk to temple. This is a very old temple. Right in front of the temple is a small Maruti temple.
We can get enough space in front of the temple where we can park a two wheeler. There are orphans, poor people and beggars sitting outside the temple and if there is any food or gift or money near the people who come to darshan, they can help them by giving them so that the calamities on us are reduced.
A shopkeeper sits near gate of the temple, the shopkeeper sells us flowers, leaves, oil and offerings. As soon as we enter the temple, there is a counter on the right hand side where we can get prasad and make our donation there. Inside is the famous statue of Lord Shani . There are small photos and small idols of Ganapati Maharaj and Lord Hanuman ,During darshan, there is a pan on the right hand of Lord Shani in which we have to offer offerings as Udid dal , sun flower seeds, oil. There is an old custom followed by all the devotees that once darshan is done, one does not want to look back at Shani deva and just walk out of the temple.
Why devotees come to this temple ?
If in your life you are frequently in trouble you are not getting success and you are suffering from despair, tiredness and poverty, then it is believed that Shani is angry with you and to remove that anger and shani dasha you should come here every Saturday and take darshan of Shani Maharaj and please him. people have Such faith in Shani maharaj that reduces our troubles and improves our good luck. If you want to achieve anything in life, you should come to this temple and seek the grace of Shani Maharaj.
