Very old bridge but still it's very strong...... From the top uh could see the beautiful railway track and the railway buildings..... Nice artistic bridge..... Bridge carries many pictures too.....

Seen this bridge from the time I was born, it's just next to my home. There are many good and bad memories of this bridge,This bridge act's as a main connection between two parts of the city the city/market area to the ghwaright/medical/madan mahal, there are Other ways too like 2nd, 3rd, 4th, underbridge etc but they're either very far from this bridge or are either very small,5-6 years back the birds used to live in the holes in the sidewalls of the bridge but as the pollution increased they all went away, as the vehicle increased the demand for more space increased too resulting in governments decision to increase the width of bridge (although the work isn't started but after seeing the demand it surely will in the next 3-4 years) The bridge was inaugurated by lal bahadur shastri. Before the construction of bridge there used to be a level Crossing, this brige also acted as a shunting area for narrow gauge train, there are still some traces of the tracks on the gorakhpur side of bridge, coming to the era of 2010-15, there used to be a lots of accidents above and below the bridge, some people jumping from top of the bridge, some getting crushed by trains while crossing from the tracks below, even when there's a stairs going up and down on both entry and exit on parallel sides, sometimes we used to witness these things 5-6 times every month, later on the bridge was covered with 6-7 fret fences on both sides at center so that no body can jump, the accidents reduced as a result of safety from people and government attention. In these times the bridge is generally empty during morning and night time but during festivals, especially at 3pm-8pm the bridge is very crowded that one may spend 10 minutes just to cross it
