Bagh Caves are really amazing and wonderful place in Madhya Pradesh ( Dhar district). It is astonishing to think about them that how they were constructed and in such a manner that today also they are in much better condition than any other present day' s building which hardly remains for 20-30 years. I really grateful and thankful to the Almighty who gave me an opportunity to visit this historical place. One can enjoy a day picnic cum educational tour.

This place is clean but there is no light inside the caves. The best time to visit this place is in the rainy season. Ticket price is 25 ₹per person

Bagh Caves, one of the little explored Indian Heritage sites dating back to the 4th century-6th century AD is worth paying visit to. Situated on the bank of Baghani River in the Dhar district of the Madhya Pradesh, these rock cut caves are known for the Mural paintings. These caves serve as ‘viharas’ or ‘monasteries’ for the Buddhist monks. It is believed that the cave got their name from the word ‘Bagh’ or Tiger. Later on these caves served as mediation centers, religious sites and residential places of the Buddhist monks.
