Pride of Kerala, unbelievable that such a historic temple is well located in the heart of the city. Thrissur district is known in the name of this temple and it's ground. It's calm and quiet inside the temple premises. Easily reachable via bus and train. Railway station and transport bus stand is nearby (approx 1km) . Lord Siva is the deity. Huge parking space available.

The renowned Vadakkumnathan temple is one of the oldest temples in Kerala. Situated in the heart of Thrissur town, it is admired for its unique architectural structure, made purely in wood and stone. Situated in a nine-acre walled patch of green, it received the ‘Award of Excellence’ at the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation.
