It's 25 km from Shencottai highway. Needed a lot of petrol in the uphill drive. The road is a bit rough at some places. If you have a good vehicle it's fun to drive. The view is not that great. You see the reservoir of Thenmala dam from the viewpoint. Don't expect much. We went in the evening. So sunlight was against photography. Maybe it's better and cool in the morning.

"I recently visited Shendurney Wildlife Sanctuary, and it exceeded all my expectations. The moment I stepped foot into the sanctuary, I was greeted by the soothing sounds of nature and the lush greenery that surrounded me. The sanctuary's pristine beauty instantly captivated me.

One of the highlights of my visit was the incredible variety of wildlife I encountered. From majestic elephants to elusive tigers, the sanctuary is home to a rich and diverse range of species. The guided safari tours provided an up-close and personal experience, allowing me to witness these animals in their natural habitat. It was truly a humbling experience to see these magnificent creatures thriving in such a protected environment.

The sanctuary's well-maintained trails and trekking routes provided ample opportunities for adventure enthusiasts like me. The hiking trails meandered through dense forests, picturesque waterfalls, and scenic valleys. I was in awe of the stunning vistas that unfolded at every turn. The knowledgeable guides shared fascinating insights about the flora and fauna, making the trek even more enriching.

The sanctuary's commitment to conservation is evident in their efforts to preserve the natural habitat and protect endangered species. The conservation programs and initiatives they have in place are commendable. It's inspiring to see the dedication and passion with which the staff and local communities work together to safeguard this unique ecosystem.

The facilities within the sanctuary were top-notch. The visitor center was informative, providing a deeper understanding of the sanctuary's history and significance. The accommodations were comfortable, offering a peaceful retreat amidst nature. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist.

I left Shendurney Wildlife Sanctuary with a renewed appreciation for the wonders of nature. It is undoubtedly one of the best wildlife sanctuaries I have ever visited. Very nice experience. This eco-tourism project is under the direction of Forrest departments. If you want to go to the top of the dam, you can go to the Forest Department's cart. This trip is beautiful. 10 people are just five hundred rupees. The dam and the lake can be enjoyed close by. Great place to enjoy familys.
