Boat cruise is an amazing experience. but be careful about the cost you have to pay. You can get a boat having seven seats that rides 1.5 hrs at a cost around 1000/- provided you choose an economic one rather than a luxurious trip. They let you get down at Poovar Beach for some time. Please do not fall into the looting of agents.

They charged 300 per person on a boat
U need to bargain a bit
Boat ride was about 15-30minz
It was a very good experience
Try it during sunset time ..!! It would be a surreal experience
