Bab Arabia started out as a really nice restaurant. But my experience here has been a bit polar, there are days when the food is superb and with high flavour and then there are days where I had okay tasting food. I have tried the kebabs, the kapama, the beef rib, soups, salads and kunafa. The kunafa is pretty good.

The beef rib is really good from a portion standpoint but sometimes can be quite bland from a flavour standpoint. The kebabs are decent. The rice is really really good. The soup is terrible actually it just tasted like the Maggi magic stock and nothing unique. Hummus is quite good as well.

Will I go back to eating from here, yes I might. Hope they demonstrate some consistency with the flavour though considering the amount they charge per dish. They also offer a lot of space for dining in, however parking is a bit of a hassle. One would have to park few meters before the restaurant as almost always the limited parking available is usually full.

Went for family dinner. Been here several times. Like the ambiance and seating here. We ordered several starters and a platter which mentioned about shrimps, squid, mutton, beef and chicken. The only meat I could see and taste was chicken. Rest all were grounded up kebab forms. Was slightly disappointed that the service person did not mention all meats will be served as minced. I could have ordered something else if I ve known better.

Food was good but very oily, I tried their signature dishes Kapama mutton , beef ribs , chefzade chicken kebab , kunafa ,

Kapama mutton - consist of rice and shredded mutton but was in very low quantity with a very high price ,

Beef ribs - was good but very costly.

Chefzade was a different dish with cheese and fillings inside , kunafa was also good ,

All dishes have good quality but quantity and price doesn't matches ,

About service - the waiter was not so nice or pleasing , he was like an arabi, very grumpy , The guys who serves the food were well behaved and good

Overall good experience

Those who go in groups be carefull about the prices , there are much better options out there in trivandrum ????
