I delivered my baby girl 3 months ago at Meditrina Hospital, Kollam.
We primarily consulted Dr. Valsalakumari, but also consulted Dr. Elizabeth and Dr. Ponny during our regular visits.
During the 7th month scan, we found that the baby had a Double loop nuchal cord around her neck - a comparatively rare case happening around 5% of pregnancy cases which could result in decreased fetus growth and other bigger complications.
Dr. Valsalakumari carefully reviewed the case during our subsequent visits, and advised us to top up the nutrition and regularly monitor the baby's kicks.

We preferred a normal delivery - but always left it to the Doctors' discretion to do the right thing for us.
On the day of delivery, though I became mentally drained, all the doctors and nurses pushed me beyond my limits and helped me have a NORMAL DELIVERY - I delivered a healthy baby girl on 19th Sept !
I still remember getting too much tired and the nurses shaking my face and saying "wake up daughter... you can do it !" and giving me water sip by sip.

All the nurses we interacted with (Nurses Girija, Mini, Manju, Gopika, Renju, Geethu, Anna, Asha, Sreelakshmi (Social Welfare)) were super supportive and I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. You all were really like my 'sisters'.
Thank you for the utmost care and moral support you have given.

Few of our relatives were surprised to hear that the delivery was a Normal one and not C-section - because of the Double nuchal cord the baby had around her neck.

modern advance facility treatment available on this hospital. famous in heart transplantation surgery. no tention for parking area. some doctors wear 7 days working here

Very bad experience ever had. No quality in service and highly expensive. Whoever visits there, please be aware of the bills they give, especially from the pharmacy.
