Its worth to visit the lighthouse if you go through this route. The view from the top is mesmerising. You will get an entire view of the Anjuthengu Fort, Beach, Lake, Houses and greenery and it is worth to experience that.

Ticket charge for Adults is 10/- per head. But they would collect extra Rs 10/- stating we are having mobile phone camera’s.

Footwear’s are to be kept outside, at the entry to the lighthouse stairs.

There is no lift as in Tangasseri Lighthouse. Only option is by climbing stairs. The elder people would find it difficult to climb the same.

Also there is a steep ladder to be climbed at the top.

The view from the top of the Lighthouse is Incredible.

They state that the allowed time is 10minutes at the top of the lighthouse and you are not allowed to open any window at on your way.

The views from the top of this lighthouse are spectacular to say the least. With the sea on one side and the river on the other, it offers amazing views all around. For us, it was one of the best places to visit in Varkala area. Keep in mind that it's only open from 3 to 5 PM.

Visuals from the top of the light house is priceless and very attractive with backwaters, anchuthengu fort and Arabian sea. I strongly recommend to visit here. There is no high ticket charges or something.For an adult i thinks it 15-20 rupees. Remember one thing, the view from the top is worth more than beyond your expectations. Usually everyone skips here while visiting anchengo fort and my question to them is, this precious view is located nearby the fort and it won't consumes your time.If you skip this, you are really missing something. Note that, please visit before 5pm.
