We tried a couple of times the restaurent associated with the beach hotel, primarily the parking space was the attraction, the ambience was good (the restaurent space at the hotel near sea) and food was passable,

First time we tried buffet lunch and it was a total failure still we liked the space and ambience, second time tried some fish grill n pollichath, though too oily still was good. Fried rise was okay but chicken pieces looked old.

This time we were in a hurry and decided not to sit at the resort side but to go with the general restaurent (food served from Same kitchen for both). We ordered “chatti chor” and biriyani. It was an awful experience in total, we had chatti choru from Cochin, Calicut, Kottayam, areas and even from middle east and i would say this was the worst amongst all. It was literally an uneven and unstable earthen pot which do not stays even on table, had to hold with one hand all the time, then comes to the food- it was just a 80% boiled ration store rise with just 3 curries. A spoon of chicken curry, (we were told beef but what was served is chicken ) a small portion of muringa roast and a fish gravy in a curd serving pot. Then some avial ( looked like) and half done kappa puzhuk portion and a chammanthi, no sambar n pappadu even. Usually we have seen chatti chors with chatti full of curries in traditional mixed fashion, but this is just curry portions on top of rise. What to say, rise portion was about 1.5 persona quantity but the curries were insufficient for even a kid.
-
The biriyani was bad, rise was not done and tasted like fried rise topped with biriyani masala, quantity was high but quality and taste was substandard.
-
Additionally ordered 3 juices, they had only pineapple and that too took around 15 minutes to arrive and came without straw for two, took another 10 minutes to get straw after reminding three times, and even they issued a bill without printing juice rates on it but just marking with a pen. I had to question and to remind them the GST rules to get a proper bill
