Well maintained. Lot of parking space. Road leading to Dam is in good condition. And guess what? No entry ticket/fee. There's a temple at the base. If you want to see the whole Dam i mean one point to another them be ready to climb couple of hundred stairs. On a sunny day, the water gushing out of dam seen with natural rainbow effect.

Place is very well maintained, it's not big dam ( kind of reservoir) .
Now a days, they won't allow anyone to walk in between check gates.
The view is really good.
No entry fee is there.
Free parking available.
Not too crowded.

Tip: once you enter (entry is behind the temple), go to left hand side(ask for travellers bunglow side) to view the dam from top view( but, steps are more, if you have accompanied aged people and childrens, then please avoid)

Definitely must visit place

One of the oldest dams of Karnataka, built by Mysore empire and named it after the Maharani name. It's built across the river Vedavathi. During monsoon it looks good. From the dam you can find a very scenic view and sunset.
